Loving & Nourishing Postpartum Doula Care in Portland, OR

For as long as babies have been born, parents have been supported. The myth of the "strong, independent parent" leaves so many families overwhelmed, exhausted, & longing for reassurance. We are here to fill the gaps, anticipate your needs, & walk alongside you in the early months — so you can thrive, not just survive.

What to Expect

Before your baby arrives, we’ll plan your support together — from how many nights a week you want care to how your doula can best help your family rest and adjust.

Many families choose support on the first night home to help set a calm, confident rhythm.

Bespoke Packages

Regular doula support helps ensure you’re able to rest and show up as your best self. What that support looks like is entirely up to you. Many families choose 3 nights a week with a gentle taper, while others prefer occasional support each month or nightly care that gradually tapers over time. Your care team will include multiple doulas, providing steady support as you settle into this new season of parenting.

Setting Your Routine

Our overnight doulas are come for a minimum of 10 hour shifts, most often from 9pm - 7am. If you have multiple children, it can be helpful to arrive before bedtime, so your hands are free to be present for older children’s evening rituals.

Peaceful Presence

Re-imagining Postpartum Care

You’ll wake after a restful night of sleep to a full breakfast, an empty dishwasher, and fresh laundry. Our first priority is your new baby, followed by attending to the birthing parent, then providing care to the home at-large: meal prep and light cleaning while your family sleeps.

We do take breaks throughout our shift, so our doulas will need a quiet, comfortable space to rest.

  • "Camilla has all of the soft skills that you can’t learn in a classroom. She always was anticipating my next need. From having the shower running to having a sip of water available. She helped me reach my goals of having an unmedicated vaginal birth by reminding me I was strong and powerful."

  • "As a first time mom, when my husband had to leave on two separate work trips when our son was just a month old, the idea of being alone with him overnight left me feeling extremely anxious. But when Camilla and Atika came into our home to help me care for our baby boy, I immediately felt at ease, and I was able to get some sleep knowing he was in such good hands. These ladies have a gift!"

There is no third in our future but if we were to have a third, you'd be our first choice!!

    Placenta Encapsulation

Some families determine that consuming their placentas is the best way to access bioavailable hormones, minerals, and vitamins to encourage nourishment in the postpartum period. • A search dog utilizing placenta donations to track down missing people in Portland, Oregon.

    Placenta Donation

Placenta tissue can be used to train search dogs in tracking down missing people and finding human remains. This is an issue near and dear to my heart after tragically losing a close friend. If you plan to dispose of your placenta, consider donation as an alternative, and help families find their lost loved ones.
